MARIA SOBRINO born in La Guardia, felt the birth of her vocation in
New York, city that she would visit for the first time in 1984.
In the summer of '91, a collection of her artwork traveled with her to
her first collective art expo, organized be the "Agrupación Cultural
Guardesa", which resulted in a great success.
When she returned to New York, she enrolled in Queens College, City
Univeristy of New York, where she received classes in painting and at
Queens Borough Community College where she received classes in art and
sculpture.
Her artwork is found in:
Town-Halls of La Guardia, Tuy, El Rosal.
In the Cultural House of La Guardia and the Cultural/Social center of La
Guardia.
In the "Asociación Eliseo Alonso" in Goyán.
In the collection of "Colegio Marcote de Vigo".
In hotels like "Cemar del balneario de Mondariz", in "La Anunciada"
( Bayona ), in "El Congreso" ( Santiago ), in "San Benito" ( La Guardia ).
In the hospital "La Colline" ( Suiza ).
In private collections throughout America and Europe.
